NSF clarifies on July 8 programme

Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has given its clarification over the issue concerning the felicitation programme for HSLC held on July 8, the day of Tuluni festival, facing flak from Sumi student bodies. In a letter to Sumi Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (SKK) president Ninoto Awomi, NSF general secretary Imtiyapang Imsong while explaining the sequence of incidents, said that the NSF executives during its 1st executive council meeting on June 26, among other issues, discussed on the date for the felicitation programme. Considering the convenience of the students, NSF said the house resolved to organize the programme on second Saturday, July 8.
NSF said that the date chosen for the felicitation programme was “not intentional to hurt the sentiments of Sumis in general and the SKK in particular.”
