Deputy commissioner (DC) Tseminyu, Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi has informed the public of Tseminyu district that any cases of unlawful activities such as organised extortion, collection of illegal taxes, possession and carrying of illegal arms and ammunition, etc., would be prosecuted as per provisions of the National Security Act 1980 of section 3 (3),
In a notification, the deputy commissioner stated that “unlawful activities” which have the potential to seriously impact the security of the state and maintenance of peace and public order could be detained and prosecuted as per the Act.
Dr. Zasekuolie Chusi further informed that this section has remained in force with retrospective effect from September 1, 2022 till extended by the state government from time to time.
