State government has constituted a district level committee headed by DC in each district to undertake all functions connected with the implementation of the Compensation to victims of Hit and Run Motor Accidents Scheme, 2022.
The panel will evaluate the progress of implementation and take corrective steps, wherever necessary and submit a report on quarterly basis to the standing committee, including in electronic form. The report would also include month-wise statistics about the claim applications received, awarded, pending and reasons for pendency. The committee would meet at least once in each quarter with a minimum quorum of three members.
