Tetso College organises 7th ‘Comfiesta’, ‘Historia Fete’

The 7th edition “Comfiesta” of inter-institutional commerce and management, organized by Tetseo College, Dimapur was held at Tetseo College Amphitheater on Friday.
The fiesta was organised with the objective to test the mental ability of the students, to deliver positive impact and boost the confidence of the students.
A total of 13 students participated in the fiesta which include events such as “Contrakeenas”, Mobile Legends, “Dramatisement”, business talkathon and Comfiesta Got Talent.
Delivering the keynote address at the formal session, St. Joseph University, Nagaland vice chancellor prof. Dr. D Gnanadurai said that now the quality of the students is measured by talent. In this, he encouraged the students to identify their talent, for each student has their own unique talent. He also encouraged the faculties and parents of the students to help them identify their talents.
He urged the students to make positive decision of their life, firstly by identifying their talent and make the best use of it. He also appealed to focus on research rather than confining on one direction.
“Winning and losing is a part of life, sometimes we win and sometimes we fail, but we have to learn, the reason and perform better” he added.

Historia Fete
Department of History, Tetso College organized annual “History Festival” on October 12 under the theme ‘Historia Fete: Reimagining the Untold Narratives’. The event was divided into two segments, formal and informal.
The formal session begun with an invocation by assistant professor, department of History, Akali Sumi, and sharing on the festival theme by assistant professor, department of History, Dr. Eastrose Miachie. In the formal session, students showcased a traditional Angami folktale drama followed by a special musical performance and a quiz competition among the students.
The informal session kicked off with a traditional Sumi Naga traditional dance followed by several fun filled performances and competitions. Performances included beat boxing, singing and dance by different students of the department. Competitions included war cry or howling challenge, stand-up comedy, and pork fat eating. A special performance was given by Tetso alumnus Vinika Yepthomi who is an artiste under the Task Force of Music and Arts (TaFMA), Government of Nagaland.
Various stalls were also set up by students of all three different semesters of the department. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Eastrose Miachieo.
