DTCC conducts raids in Tuensang

District Tobacco Control Cell (DTCC) Tuensang on October 12 conducted raids at shops to check sale of tobacco products within 100 metres from educational institutions. In a press release, National Health Mission (NHM) Tuensang informed that the team was led by DTCC district consultant, Sentilong Longchar and accompanied by ASI, Moshamongba Chang and other police personnel. The team penalised five persons and later destroyed the seized products at Tuensang police station.
Meanwhile, DTCC Tuensang has informed that such raids would be conducted frequently. It also cautioned shopkeepers to refrain from selling tobacco products within a radius of 100 meters from educational institutions.
