The monthly meeting of the Dimapur District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held on Wednesday, in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office.
According to a DIPR report, the agenda discussed at the meeting included bifurcation of existing Development Block of Chümoukedima between Dimapur district, wherein, project director, DRDA Dimapur, Kethosituo Sekhose presented a proposal.
Kethosituo stated that with the creation of Chümoukedima district, the jurisdiction of Rural Development (RD) Chümoukedima, Dhansirpar and Kuhuboto now fell under the districts of Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland.
The project director stated that this, has given rise to administrative inconvenience, particularly for block office as BDOs now had to report to two different district authorities.
In this regard, a proposal was submitted for villages under Dimapur district to be constituted into a separate block consisting of 31 villages.
The second proposal was to constitute two blocks under Dimapur district instead of one—East Dimapur RD Block and West Dimapur RD Block.
It was also appealed to the board to consider—Sangtamtila, L. Hotovi, Shozukhu under Dimapur district which is presently under Dhansiripar and Kuhuboto RD Block.
The third proposal presented consideration of Bamunpukhri B village, under Chümoukedima block for creation of Village Development Board (VDB) by bifurcating present Bamunpukhri VDB into Bamunpukhri A VDB and Bamunpukhri B VDB.
After deliberations, the following agenda were taken into consideration—Opening of new school, “The Family Tree” at Kushiabill village under Dimapur district; registration of society of Ex-Servicemen League Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland at Naharbari; Operation Rescue Nagaland at IHSDP Complex, United North Block-B, Burma Camp; Nagaland Kalwar Samaj at Zakiesato Colony and Euro Welfare Society at H/No. 109, Midland Colony.
Other agenda included—grant-in-aid for St. Paul Higher Secondary School Lhomithi village, Dimapur; GPS Kirha UDISE Code 13060212201; GMS Veterinary Colony Burma Camp UDISE 13060501502, which was taken into consideration for approval.
At the meeting, chief medical officer (CMO) highlighted Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) scheme, wherein, he informed that the procedure of this scheme was going on in all the departments.
Under the scheme, employees and pensioners could avail up to Rs. 20 lakh and the public could avail up to Rs. 5 lakh respectively, he informed.
Later, DC Sachin Jaiswal also informed officers and staff to disseminate information on the mega job fair, scheduled to be held on November 28.
He also requested the CMO to give a presentation on CMHIS to the members for better understanding on how to register and avail benefits.
Further, Sachin Jaiswal reminded the members of the role and responsibilities of sector officer during the election and informed that allotment of sector officer will be issued very soon.
In this regard, he appealed to the heads of departments to share the staff list of respective departments.
