Gov greets on Chaga Gadi, Langsimnyi fest

Nagaland governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi extended warm greetings to Liangmai community and Zeliang community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi festival and Langsimnyi festival respectively.
Mukhi said that Chaga Gadi, an annual post-harvest festival, was a time when religious barriers were broken and everybody comes together and creates harmony. He prayed that the festival bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Liangmai community and to the people of Nagaland.
In another message, Prof. Mukhi said that Langsimnyi, the premier festival of the Zeliangs, was a time for rekindling of relationships specially between family members. The governor expressed hope that the fundamental essence of the festival—love, respect, peace and harmony— would prevail among all sections of the people.
