A prominent citizen of Dimapur, Uma Shankar passed away in Guwahati on October 30. He was 78.
Born on March 1, 1944, late Uma Shanker was former secretary of Shree Durga Mandir Trust and was also actively associated with Agarwal Mahasabha, Shree Marwari Samaj, Dimapur Club, Shree Hanuman Mandir.
He was also an advocate and tax consultant and member of Dimapur Bar Association, Guahati High Court Bar Association, Tax Bar Association Dimapur, Tax Bar Association Guwahati and Rotary Club of Dimapur.
According to family sources, the body will be brought to Dimapur on October 31. A condolence programme will be held at Durga Mandir Dimapur on November 3, 2022 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
