NAPO for smooth completion of Tening-Lekie road

Nsong Area Public Organisation (NAPO) and PWD (Roads & Bridges) have appealed to all groups, organisations, and villages to refrain from disturbing the ongoing construction work under North East Road Sector Development Scheme (NERSDS) for Tening-Lekie project covering 37.5 kms.
In a press note, NAPO president Wangsam Riame also sought the cooperation of all so that the road construction could be completed smoothly.
Nsong Area Public Organisation said commuters of the area had to suffer due to the bad road condition with widespread delays due to bad road conditions.
However, under the NERSDS the road project was taken up at a cost of Rs. 123.96 crore.
Despite the delay due to legal issues between contractors, Nsong Area Public Organisation said the work was awarded to M/S Naagaamii Infratech Private Limited in March this year.
The contractor has covered around 10 kms from Ngoulong Lodi to Ngam village.
