Students asked to remain focused

Principal director (PD) department of School Education (DoSE), Thavaseelan K Friday has encouraged students to remain focused and study well until their goal was achieved.
Underscoring the importance of remaining focused in the process, he said the result would be determined by the process and advised the students not to lose their focus but to ensure that their hard work yield the desired result.
The principal director was speaking at the state level quiz competition organised by Nagaland Education Mission Society, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland (SSN) at the directorate of school education, Kohima.
Encouraging students to partake in such competitions, Thavaseelan lauded the participants of the state level quiz competition and added that such competitions provide platform to gain more knowledge.
During the programme, Thamshai of Government Middle School (GMS) Senkalemba and Maongwati of Government High School (GHS) Chuchuyimpang under Mokokchung district were declared winners of the competition. Igumlule of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Peren and Chanchuina Phaomei of GHSS Jalukie and Nephilu Sakha and Wekhrotso Akami from GHSS Phek secured the second and third positions respectively.
Students from nine districts namely Kohima, Dimapur, Mokokchung, Mon, Phek, Wokha, Peren, Zunheboto and Longleng participated in the quiz competition. The panel of judges were assistant director, Visetonuo Angami and deputy director SCERT and department nodal officer Samagra Shiksha, Razouvolie Peter Phewhuo.
The quiz masters were joint mission director, Dr. Bijano Murry, PGT Peleno Petenilhu from JGHSS Viswema were the quiz masters while deputy mission director, Chungngam Konyak. The programme was chaired by deputy mission director, Liyalo Apon.
