Chief Secretary Nagaland, J Alam during the monthly meeting of the Administrative Heads of Departments (AHoDs) and Heads of Departments (HoDs) briefed them on requisition of posts for direct recruitment, timely disbursal of pensions, Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) among other issues.
According to a DIPR report, chairing the monthly meeting held on November 4 at the Secretariat Conference Hall, Alam said requisition of posts for direct recruitment through Nagaland Public Service Commission Nagaland (NPSC) and Nagaland Staff Selection Board Nagaland (NSSB) has been circulated and urged those departments that are yet to submit the list, to do at the earliest.
He also directed the departments to identify upcoming vacancies caused due to retirement at least one year in advance for timely recruitment.
In regard to pensions, Alam asked the directorates of all the government departments to take serious note of timely disbursal of pensions. He asked the department to ensure that all the paperwork was completed a year before the employee’s retirement.
With the launch of the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), the chief secretary reminded that all state government employees are eligible beneficiaries and should register in the portal to avail the benefits of the scheme. In this regard, he instructed the AHoDs and HoDs to get their staff registered at the earliest.
Alam also instructed all to keep the departmental websites regularly updated with well-structured and useful information on departmental activities.
The chief secretary also directed the government departments prioritise responding to the letters in a time-bound manner to improve the official corresponding system between the central government and various departments. He also urged the AHoDs and HoDs to give importance to the pending court cases and ensure that contempt of court does not arise.
Further, Alam congratulated all the departments for their active involvement during the visit of the President of India and stated that the President’s Secretariat has acknowledged the grand reception accorded to the President.
At the meeting, additional chief secretary & finance commissioner, Sentiyanger Imchen also apprised the AHoDs and HoDs regarding CMHIS and asked them to initiate and ensure that all the employees under their departments are registered. The department of disaster management highlighted the upcoming programmes such as virtual orientation, table talk exercise, and mega mock exercise.
