MoS Pawar inspects NIMSR, reviews healthcare system

Union Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare, Dr. Bharti Pravin Pawar on Saturday inspected the Nagaland Institute of Medical Sciences & Research (NIMSR) construction site at Phriebagie, Kohima and also virtually inaugurated the maternity ward extension of District Hospital Kiphire.
Dr. Pawar, who arrived Nagaland on November 11, also held a review meeting on functioning of Health care delivery system at Raj Bhavan conference hall with health & family welfare secretary Asangla Imti, principal director, mission director NHM, project director NSACS and officers from the Health department.
The minister also held a video conference with officials of Kiphire district attended by deputy commissioner, CMO, medical superintendent, medical officers and HoDs of all departments and discussed at length about the Aspirational District.
The minister also visited Urban Primary Health Centre Seikhazou wherein she interacted with the health workers and ASHAs.
Later, Pawar also visited the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK) and interacted with the doctors, nurses and patients.
