Nagaland showcases handloom and food products at IITF Delhi

Nagaland showcased various handloom and food products at the mega annual India International Trade Fair (IITF), in Delhi which was inaugurated on Monday.
According to Dy. Director &PRO (IPR), Nagaland House, New Delhi, Kuolie Mere, this year IITF theme was “Vocal for Local, Local to Global”.
As many as 14 counters have been set up in the Nagaland Pavilion, which was formally inaugurated by Director Industries and Commerce, Visutho Nyuthe. With nearly 2500 exhibitors from India and abroad, IITF 2022 is held in a total area of 73,000 sq.mtrs.
Nagaland has rented 100 sq metres of area on the first floor of Hall No. 3 at the famous Pragati Maidan.
Besides Nagaland Handloom & Handicrafts Development Corporation (NHHDC) individual entrepreneurs and enthusiastic youths are participating in this year’s IITF.
The extravaganza will continue till November 27 and participants from remote areas such as Longlong, Meluri, Zunheboto and Tseminyu exuded confidence on doing record brisk business.
This year, the fair assumes a special significance as it coincides with celebrations of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’- 75 years of India’s Independence. Importantly, International Trade Fair offers an ideal platform to showcase indigenous and traditional products from far-flung regions and states under the ‘Vocal for Local’ campaign.
