School of Agriculture Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Medziphema on November 14 held its 27th fresher’s social with ICAR Nagaland centre, joint director, Dr. D. J Rajkhowa as the chief guest of the occasion.
Addressing the students, the chief guest, Dr. Rajkhowa encouraged them that knowledge is power and that the present generation could work towards better advancement in the agricultural field by better utilization of ample natural resources
The programme was chaired by, NU: SASRD, dean, professor L. Daiho SU: SASRD, president, Stephen Patton delivered the welcome address and head of department of soil and water conservation, professor R.C. Nayak exhorted the students. Speeches were delivered by representatives from fresher batches of B.Sc agri first year, M.Sc first year and P.Hd. agri first year. Special number and musical piece were performed by the EU choir and B.Sc first year respectively. While the vote of thanks was delivered by SU general secretary, Linnaeus Nakro.
