District Health Society Peren launches SUMAN scheme

District Health Society (DHS) Peren launched Surakshit Matritva Aashwasan (SUMAN) scheme on Thursday at District Hospital, Peren.
In a press release, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) office, Peren stated that in a keynote address and PowerPoint presentation, gynaecologist (SMO), Dr. Dennis Chingpen highlighted SUMAN activities. He shared on the free and safe services for delivery care and treatment available through SUMAN scheme.
Delivering the welcome address medical superintendent, DH, Peren, Dr. Limatula Ao shared the importance of regular antenatal check, timely immunization of children and encouraged for institutional delivery. She highlighted the main aim of the SUMAN scheme.
The launching programme chaired by SMO, Dr. Renponthung Kikon was followed by an interactive session. The launching programme was attended by officials from GBs, town council, ward chairman, pregnant women and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs).
