Highlights of Hornbill Festival 2022 on day 3

Various cultural performances marked the third day of the ongoing Hornbill Festival at Kisama on Saturday where a total of 12,005 visitors including 162 foreign tourists, 4148 domestic and 7695 local tourists witnessed the cultural festivities.
In the morning session, Lt Gen Jagamohan Singh Sidana Commandant ACEME & Col. Commandant Corps EME graced the festival as guest accompanied by his wife. Hosts for the festival on the third day were minister for Higher Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along and advisor for Excise, Sericulture and Minority Affairs, Zhaleo Rio.
Cultural troupes from the Chakhesang, Ao, Lotha, Rengma, Kachari, Pochuri and Sumi communities performed at the main arena.
In the afternoon session, Chief Justice of Manipur High Court, Justice Sanjay Kumar attended the programme as special guest the honored guests were Chief Commissioner of Income Tax Shillong, Amrendra Kumar (IRS) and Director General Assam Rifles, Lt. Gen PC Nair.
Host and co-host for the session were minister for Planning & Coordination and Land Revenue, Neiba Kronu and advisor for Information & Public Relations and Village Guards, S. Keoshu respectively.
Traditional dances were performed by cultural troupes of Sumi, Zeliang, Chakhesang, Angami, Garo, Kuki and Pochuri communities.
