An awareness programme on Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and VVPAT (Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail) organised by office of Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Kohima was held at Kohima Orphanage on December 7.
A report by DIRP stated that at the awareness programme, ADC Kohima Rhosietho Nguori highlighted various aspects of EVM and VVPAT functions.
He also demonstrated on how the EVM and VVPAT worked to the young and eligible voters who have applied for enrollment in the Electoral Roll.
Besides the DC and DEO officials, the mother of the orphanage, Neibanuo, Booth Level Officer (BLO) and others attended the awareness programme.
