Livingstone Foundation International (LFI) College observed its second edition of Literary Day on December 8 at its College campus, where students competed in various events.
The chief guest of the event was Artistic Director and Founder, Hill theatre Nagaland, Bendang Walling. He spoke on the importance of exhibiting and preserving one’s identity by reconciling with bygone indigenous folklore through means of media and art forms. At the College anthem competition, Yellow house won the first position. In spoken word, Dekhingpi T Sangtam from Yellow house emerged as the winner.
The winner for the dance competition was Nuike Y Shohe of Blue house, solo singing competition was won by Amongla Lemtur of Yellow house and in duet singing competition Hikavi and Sorikumla from Yellow house secured the first position. In extempore speech Dekhingpi T Sangtam emerged as the winner.
Dipika Agarwal (Dept. of Commerce) was the chairperson for the first session, followed by Dinman Kaurinta(BA 1st semester) led the invocation. Jemsungba Walling (HoD Dept. of English) addressed the welcome speech.
The second session moderator was Lito Zhimomi, Asst. Professor Department of English.
