CM fetes successful conduct of Hornbill

State chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, has congratulated the tourism department and all stakeholders on the successful conduct of the 23rd Edition of the Hornbill Festival 2022. In a congratulatory note, Rio said that the festival was a grand success. He said that despite all the challenges and hurdles, the Hornbill Festival has once again pushed “Brand Nagaland” towards greater international recognition in a positive manner.
Rio said the festival has achieved its prime aspiration of preserving, promoting, and popularising the rich culture and heritage of the Naga people in a manner that creates a sustainable economy and generates employment for the youth under the slogan and policy of ‘Land of Festivals.”
Rio also conveyed the appreciation of the state government to all the government agencies, tribal organizations, NGOs, civil society groups and church organizations, event management groups, and participants, who positively contributed towards the grand success of the Hornbill Festival 2022. “We are also grateful to the thousands of tourists – international, domestic, and local – who have visited the dozens of festival venues and events and added to the success story,” Rio said.
He also sought forgiveness from the visitors for the shortfalls and urged them to visit again with more friends and loved ones.
