DCs inform arms license holders

In view of the forthcoming NLA 2023 election, DC Zunheboto has informed all concerned arms license holders to deposit their arms to the nearest police station on or before January 20, 2023.
According to a DIPR report, the DC Zunheboto warned that arms would be seized and necessary action would be initiated as per the provision of the law against those found carrying firearms after January 20, 2023.
Kohima: In view of the ensuing 14th NLA election, 2023, DC and DEO Kohima Shanavas C has informed all arms license holders of Kohima district to produce the arms license(s) for verification at the nearest police station as per the address given in the arms license on or before January 20, 2023. DC and DEO has warned that failure to comply would lead to the cancellation of arms license(s) and other penal actions.
