Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Election Officers (DEOs), and Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADCs) and Electoral Registration Officer (EROs) have issued a notification to all the political parties in the state on the final publication of e-roll.
Kohima: In connection with the special summary revision of the photo electoral roll w.r.t. January 1, 2023 as the qualifying date, the final publication of the Roll was published on January 5 at DC’s Office Chamber, Kohima.
DC and DEO Kohima, Shanavas C in his introductory remark, stated that the draft roll which was published on November 9, 2022 with total electors of 1, 22,459 in Kohima district, has now recorded a total addition of 2,519 and deletion of 1,297 with a net increase of 1,222 electors bringing the total final E-Roll Electors to 1,23,681 after the revision.
Shanavas also informed that a lot of photo similar entries have also been detected during the revision where Kohima alone has more than 9000 entries which were under process for necessary correction and further urged the political parties to take note of it and extend their full cooperation and support to the office of DC and DEO officer for free and fair conduct of the election. DC & DEO also handed over copies of the final roll (one hard copy and one soft copy) to the recognized representatives of the political parties at the programme.
DIMAPUR: The final publication of electoral roll for Dimapur district was held on January 5. DC and DEO Dimapur Sachin Jaiswal handed a copy of the final roll to representatives of different political parties.
Mokokchung: DC and DEO Mokokchung has informed that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for the 21- Tuli, 22- Arkakong, 23- Impur, 24- Angetyongpang, 25-Mongoya, 26- Aonglenden, 27-Mokokchung Town, 28- Koridang, 29- Jangpetkong and 30- Alongtaki assembly constituencies have been prepared with reference to 1-1-2023 as qualifying dates and in accordance with the Registration of Electors Rule, 1960. In this connection, DC informed that a copy of the said roll together with the said Rule of Amendments has been published and will be commenced available for inspection at the DC office.
Longleng: In connection with Special Summary Revision 2022, the final draft publication of electoral roll of 49 A/C Tamlu and 50 A/C Longleng under Longleng district was handed over to the political parties by DC and DEO, Longleng, Dharam Raj at his office Chamber on January 5.
Zunheboto: ADC and ERO Zunheboto has informed that the list of amendments to the final electoral roll for 31- Akuluto, 32-Atoizu, 33-Suruhuto, 34-Aghunato, 35-Zunheboto and 36- Satakha Assembly Constituencies have been prepared with reference to January 1, 2023 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electoral Rules, 1960.
A copy of the electoral roll together with the said list of amendments has been published and will be available for inspection at the office of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Zunheboto.
Chumoukedima: The draft e-roll for 4 -Ghaspani-I and 5-Ghaspani-II Assembly Constituencies under Chumoukedima district have been issued to the all political parties by DC and DEO, Chumoukedima, Abhinav Shivam on January 5 at DC Conference Hall, Chumoukedima.
Tuensang: DC and DEO Tuensang, Nokchasashi has informed that the electoral rolls for all the polling stations of four Assembly Constituencies under Tuensang district have been published on January 5 at DC’s Conference Hall (Circuit house) Tuensang.
At the programme, DC requested all the political parties to look forward for a clean and fair election. He urged the stakeholders to take responsibility during the SVEEP activities and sought cooperation and support for the successful conduct of the forthcoming election.
The DC also requested all the political parties to appoint Booth Level Agents to those who were yet to appoint.
Further, DC notified that for public information that the list of amendments to the draft electoral roll for the 51-Noksen, 52- Longkhim-Chare, 53-Tuensang Sadar-I, and 54-Tuensang Sadar -II Assembly Constituencies has been prepared with reference to January 1, 2023 as the qualifying date and in accordance with the Registration of Electoral Rules, 1960.
A copy of the said roll together with the list of amendments has been published and available for inspection at his office.
Representatives from different political parties attended the meeting and a copy has been handed to all the parties.
