The first phase training on Community First Responder (CFR) for various sub-divisions of Mon district was held Tuesday simultaneously at Tobu, Phomching, Aboi, Naginimora and Tizit sub divisions.
According to reports, volunteers/ representatives from five (5) villages each from every sub divisions will be imparted training on the CFR, at the ongoing four-day training. The trainee will be taught on the role and characteristic of CFR and trained on personal & scene safety, scene secure, search making system, rope knotting, emergency method of rescue, patient assessment & practical, basic life support –CPR & FBAO, bandaging & splinting.
The training program, organized by District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) is supported by Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA).
It may be mentioned that 21 master trainers on CFR for Mon district were trained last November at DBs conference hall Mon.
The training on CFR for Naginimora sub-division was held at town hall Wakching. Altogether 42 volunteers/ representatives from Wakching town, Wakching, Tanhei, Wanching and Shiyong villages have enrolled for the training. The trainers were Paiwang Konyak, Noksha Konyak and Liang Konyak.
PHEK: Inaugural function for Training of Trainers (ToT) on Community First Responders (CFR) for Phek, Pfutsero and Chizami sub-divisions got underway Tuesday.
A press note by NSDMA media officer, Keren Rose stated that training was being conducted by the NSDMA in collaboration with the DDMA with assistance from the HG&CD.
This training would be held from July 4 to July 7. The ADC Pfutsero graced the function as guest speaker. The function was chaired by Kethophui Tetseo, SA, NSDMA. More than 50 participants have registered for the training.
