One day district AFP surveillance workshop sponsored by WHO was conducted on June 28 at Chief Medical Officer (CMO) conference hall, Phek. During the workshop, resource person SMO-WHO, Dr. Sheila Longkumer, through power point presentation, highlighted the polio eradication update and AFP surveillance system. Dr. Sheila discussed on weekly reporting, active case search, response to a reported AFP case, stool collection and transportation process. She also highlighted the participants on the filling up of Case Investigation Form (CIF) and other formats related to AFP surveillance during the practical session. Dr. Shiela also presented the AFP surveillance performance of Phek and the updated of measles surveillance. She also emphasized on the importance of timely reporting. DPO RCH-UIP Phek, Dr. Kolhitso Khalo briefed the participants on the objectives of the workshop. The workshop was attended by block SMOs, MOs, GNM, data entry operator IDSP, data manager IDSP, SI UIP & VCCM UIP.
