New convent of St. Peter’s was blessed and inaugurated by bishop of Kohima, Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil at Tesophenyu on Thursday coinciding with the feast of St. Peter. Bishop James celebrated the Holy Eucharist at St. Peter’s Church, with 7 priests as concelebrants and the faithful. He said that, saints Paul and Peter were the two leaders who had guided the early church and kept it united and strong in faith. While blessing the newly built convent at St. Peter’s Centre Tesophenynu, bishop called upon the gathering to be ever grateful to the generosity of many people who had sacrificed their comfort to build the convent. He thanked Frs. Joy, Manoj, George Punnolil, Jose Sebastian and Binoy for their committed contribution for the completion of the building. He also appreciated the interest and cooperation of the area leaders and community and the sacrifice made by the sisters in the diocese.  Rev. Sr. Sibia SABS, the provincial superior, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the building.
