IAP organises 6th annual conference

Indian Academy of Pediatrics Nagaland state branch held its 6th annual conference-cum-CME on June 25 at Hotel Acacia, Dimapur, with Dr. Santanu Deb as chief guest.
A press note by IAP Nagaland joint secretary, Dr. Apong Longchar stated that IAP Nagaland was awarded “the best branch of 2016” in the small branch category by the national IAP as announced by the general secretary.
During the programme, the chief guest spoke on the newer guidelines in the management of paediatrics and also spoke on tuberculosis as a re-emerging disease. It must be noted that Dr. Santanu Deb is a prominent academician and currently the head of department of paediatrics in Nazareth Hospital, Shillong. 
Earlier in the programme, president of IAP Nagaland Dr. Tokuho Chishi highlighted the different hardship faced by the people of Nagaland. He also encouraged the paediatricians to work harder and focus on delivering quality health care in a professional manner to the children. Other speakers included Dr. Chubakumzuk Longchar, Dr. R.
