One person was arrested on charges of allegedly raping a 4-year old minor girl in Mokokchung on Monday. Police said the accused, identified as one Imnasungkum (32) son of Bendangnukshi of Chuchuyimpang village was arrested on Tuesday, based on the complaint filed by the victim’s parents at Police Station-I. As per the FIR, the accused had taken the victim from home on the pretext of buying some sweets. After some few hours when the victim reached home, the mother noticed some blood stains on the pants of her daughter. Later, after the daughter narrated the incident, the mother filed the FIR at Mokokchung PS-I. The accused is under police remand and a case registered in this connection.
