Zbto livestock farmers’ exposure visit flagged off

Under National Livestock Mission (NLM) 2015-16 and 2017, Zunheboto block livestock farmers from each block have been selected for an exposure trip to established states in the field of livestock farming starting June 27. 
A press note by chief veterinary & A&H officer, Zunheboto, Dr. Toshi Aier, stated that the aim of the mission was to enable farmers to view the technologically established/progressive farms and imparting knowledge through such field visits. He said it would further help them in building up their capacity and create confidence in taking up farming activities.
Dr. Toshi stated that tentative program would comprise of visiting the College of Veterinary Science Khanapara and all its instructional livestock and poultry farms including its Abattoir, followed by private run hatchery units and composite farms. The team would be also visit government run goattery farm in Byrnihat and Kyrdemkolai poultry farm in Meghalaya state.
Dr. Bocto Sumi, VAS veterinary Hospital, Zunheboto is the team in-charge. CVO, while sending them off gave a short speech of encouragement, advice and pointed out certain guide lines.
