Forest Colony Dimapur for the first time started the clean election campaign (CEC) initiated by NBCC and the joint forum of DUCCF & GB Union under urban municipal area and has resolved that no political youth camps would be set up in the colony.
A press note by forest colony council general secretary, Vivika Sema stated that during the meeting issues on social aspects, governance, code of conduct, government employees and election, history of clean election campaigns around the world were addressed by the core members Piholi and Akokla from women department, Hinong president youth. The colony council members Vikaho, Shilumayang and Vivika Sema, general secretary also spoke on the campaign. Along with the clean election pledge, the forest colony Dimapur has also resolved not to solicit or give away cash/kind for selling or buying votes. The program was chaired by S.Bendang, chairman forest colony council Dimapur.
