NCD appeals NSCN (I-M) and WC to uphold sanctity of joint declaration

Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has appealed to NSCN (I-M) and Working Committee/NNPGs to uphold the sanctity and integrity of joint declaration and resolve the Naga political issue. NCD president Etsungmomo Kikon and general secretary LK Peter Anal said they longed and wished to see that the January 14 joint declaration was translated into reality, which NCD had been craving for.
They lauded NSCN (I-M) and WC leaderships for putting their hearts and minds together to cement their understanding for Naga solution on January 14, and take forward the peace process between the Centre and Nagas for early solution that could be deemed honourable and inclusive. NCD said the dark eclipse of sceptics vis-à-vis Naga political solution was disappearing and there was a ray of hope when such praiseworthy and mutual understanding was reached between Naga Political groups.
They also lauded FNR, founded on Christian principle for the outstanding mission of spiritual and political groups thus far and resolved to support FNR in the process of Naga reconciliation till the final goal was achieved.
Pointing out that the brunt of evil effects of multiple NPGs were directly faced by the public and business community of Dimapur in the form of multiple taxations and other forceful tax collections. In view of this, NCD said it would cooperate with Naga civil society organisations that initiated people’s pressure for early Naga political solution.
