FSSAI initiates ‘food safety supervisor course’ in Dimapur

A two-day “Food Safety Supervisor Course” under Food Safety Training and Certificate (FoSTaC) was conducted from January 30-31 at Hotel Saramati, Dimapur under the initiative of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI).
A press release by district media officer informed that Dr. Rakesh Kumar Singh and Amit Kumar Singh from Aroma Shiksha Evam Sewa Samiti (Kolkata) were the resource persons for the training.
During the training, a brief introduction to FSSAI was presented by designated officer, Dimapur zone, Samuel Zehol. The training was imparted in two batches and on the first day more than 30 Food Business Operators (FBOs) from the manufacturing category of food business were trained while on the second day, about 30 FBOs from restaurants and hotels were trained.
The FBOs were trained on the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygienic Practices (GHP), proper labelling of products etc., and were also informed on mandatory requirement of FSSAI license and registration by every food business operator among other topics.
