Power department has informed the electricity consumers of Purana Bazar, Padam Phukhuri, Eralibil, Aoyimti, Ekranipather, Naharbari, Darogapathar, Diphupar, ARTC and 4th Central Jail area that there would be power shutdown in the morning hours from February 6-11, 2023.
SDO electrical sub-division No. II Dimapur informed that the shutdown was being necessitated as works for expediting commissioning of power sub-station at Padam Pukhuri was set to be undertaken before the onset of summer.
The areas under 11 kV Airport-Purana Bazar feeder would be affected from February 6-11 from 5am to 9am while areas under 33 kV Referral would be affected for two hours on February 9 (from 5am to 7am) and three hours on February 10 (5am to 8am).
