NKPO resolves on log extraction

The Nsong Kebai Public Organisation (NKPO) held an emergency meeting on May 26 and passed some resolutions.
A press note by president, Zekui Disuang stated that during the Peren district planning board meeting the log contractors have requested for the extension of log extraction till May and all the necessary road repairing would be done by the log contractors, but the roads have not been repaired for which the NKPO have resolved to impose fine on all the log vehicles an amount of Rs. 5000/- each and NKPO also resolved to impose tax of Rs.2000/- per truck as Ramkam (local tax) with effect from 2018. Further NKPO also condemned the statement made by ADC Tening to the planning board that there was no road to be repaired on Tening road without knowing the road conditions.
