The Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) organized a coordination and consultative meeting on May 26 with all the head of the institutions both government and private, along with the VECs and unit presidents, under the theme, “Review of Education System” under Tizit.
TASU officials after thorough study of the past HSLC and HSSLC results reviewed the failures and causes of unsatisfactory results every year from both government and private schools under Tizit. The head of the institutions were reminded again that, irregular teachers would be taken with stern actions. TASU requested the heads of the private institutions to take measures of rising school fees and to maintain Managing Board and all the administrators should obtain BA B.ed/ MA B.ed mandatorily within the time frame set by the TASU. VECs were also briefed about mid day meals based on the reports submitted by them and to implement those funds which the government provided in a judicious manner for the welfare of the students community especially in terms of infrastructure development. TASU also briefed the unit presidents to check over those irregular teachers and the VECs. The unit presidents were asked to visit monthly to schools and bring the report. Earlier, the program was chaired by Wangdun Konyak speaker, TASU, and the certificate of appreciation for producing cent percent result in HSLC 2017 were presented to EKLAVYA Model Residential School, Tizit by the president. The meeting was attended by all the heads of the institutions, VECs and the unit presidents.
