BJP Chozuba assembly constituency meet was held on May 27, at Chozuba Town, to strengthen the organisational set up at the mandal and village grassroot level.
Party workers from 19 villages and town attended the meeting.
Speakers of the meeting were North East ST Morcha, convenor Vezokho Chotso, Eduzü Theluo and Dr.V.Thingo.
Vezokho Chotso, cleared the perceptive fears of Christians against BJP explaining that “BJP is a secular democratic party under the Constitution of India, is not at all against Christians but the party protects and safeguards the Christians and all other religious minorities in India”.
He was hopeful that BJP would form the government in the coming election. Saying state owned resources were insufficient, he said the best was to form a BJP Govt. at the state so that financial grant and development programmes progressed smoothly.
BJP Nagaland general secretary Eduzü Theluo, asserted that BJP was a discipline and a cadre political party, so it had to go through proper channel from grassroot level to mandal, district, state and to the central and vice versa and that if one does not follow the proper channel one will receive penalty.
Delivering his speech, state executive member Dr. V. Thingo, expressed that, compared to other states, BJP in Nagaland was young and at its initial stage. Therefore, he asked the party workers to be dedicated, committed and to work hard.
Dr. Thingo further stated ‘Act East Policy’ has begun in full swing, citing examples such as Dimapur-Kohima four-lane road, the railway lines in the foothill regions, roads in foothill areas, etc. Besides inland waterways of Tizu-Zungki was in the pipeline on priority basis for trade and commerce with South and South East Asian countries.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by mandal president Pusai Rhakho, invocation prayer was pronounce by Zaletso Dozo.
At the second session, Zachüve Nyiekha chaired the interaction hour were queries and doubts were discussed.
