Security coordination meet at Pungro

In an effort to bolster ties and improve the security aspects, Kiphire battalion of Assam Rifles under the ageis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted a security coordination meeting by reaching out to the CAPFs deployed for election duties- BSF, NAP, NP, Village Guards and stakeholders CSOs at Pungro COB, Kiphire district on February 9.
PRO defence in a press release informed that the aim of the drive was to discuss coordination issues with regards to prevailing security situation and to improve the existing mechanism for timely information sharing. Keeping in view of the ongoing situation across the border and upcoming Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections the planning for remedial measures for various contingencies that may arise were discussed at the event.
The meeting was conducted in Pungro COB wherein the members of CAPFs, CSOs and village elders, participated and discussed on an array of issues pertaining to the overall security of the region.
