Aokong colony and Darogajan Village Council (DVC) and Model Colony Council Purana Bazaar, East Dimapur have adopted resolutions for the ensuing 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly elections 2023.
A press release issued by Aokong colony chairman, Imtiyanger has informed the general public that the colony executive during its meeting on February 17 have resolved various points in regard to the upcoming elections within its jurisdiction. The colony resolved that no outsider will be allowed to cast their vote in any of the polling stations within the colony. No personal will be allowed to cast their vote if their names are not listed in the electoral roll.
It informed that the colony council will take appropriate action to those person going against the above-mentioned resolutions.
DVC: Darogajan Village Council (DVC) in its joint meeting between GBs, VCMs and VDB on February 21 resolved to conduct free and fair election in the upcoming general election. A press release issued by DVC chairman, P.M. Thaosen, secretary Rishiraj Girisa and G.B. Brojeswar Langthasa informed that no outsider youths will be allowed during the polling day.
MCC Purana Bazar: Model Colony Council Purana Bazaar East Dimapur held its executive meeting on February 16 and adopted resolutions pertaining to the ensuing general election.
A press release by general secretary, MCCPBED Rensuthung Lotha informed that, no outsiders of any political parties will be allowed to set up youth camp within its jurisdiction, only colony members who have their names in the E-roll and officials will be allowed on the polling day. It also resolved that any person under the influence of alcohol creating disturbances within the colony will be solely responsible for the misconduct and will be produced before the council; any political parties giving any kind of mistreatment to colony members or families, the concerned candidates will be solely held responsible.
It further warned that any colony members or outsiders who are are found not adhering to the set rules and regulations laid by the council, will be strictly dealt.
