District Magistrate Zunheboto Rahul Bhanudas Mali has clamped prohibitory orders in areas under six assembly constituencies of Zunheboto district. DM has prohibited assembly of five or more persons and vehicular movement of non-essential nature till 5 p.m. of February 27 under 31-Akuluto, 32-Atoizu, 33-Suruhoto, 34-Aghunato, 35-Zunheboto and 36-Satakha. The restriction also covers DC office complex and 100 meters in its vicinity and Zunheboto public ground.
Those exempted inlcude officials and staff of district administration, security personnel, magistrate on duty, medical personnel, and persons engaged in election duty/essential services movement of commercial vehicles (goods/passengers) or vehicles carrying essential commodities, press and media, telecom services, and medical emergencies.
