Prohibitory orders clamped at Longleng town

District Magistrate (DM) Longleng, Dharam Raj, has imposed prohibitory order under section 144 CrPC, 1973 within the administrative jurisdictions of Longleng Town prohibiting movement and unlawful assembly of more than five persons from 12 noon of March 3, 2023 till 12 noon of March 6, 2023 (72 hours).
However, any assembly of security personnel, people for religious events, funeral services, marriages, examinations, schools, government offices, carrying of or loading and unloading of essential goods have been exempted. DM cautioned that any person(s) found violating the order would be punished under section 188 IPC with Imprisonment for up to 6 months, a fine, or both.
