A three-day basic commissioner course of Nagaland State Bharat Scouts and Guides (NSBS&G) got underway Tuesday at BSG State Headquarter Bayavü Hill Kohima.
During the inaugural programme, additional international commissioner (scouts), Madhusudhan Avala, who was one of the resource persons, encouraged the participants to be responsible in order to bring change in younger generation. He also said that scouting and guiding may be a small but was significant and shared some of his experiences.
Additional secretary youth resources and sports, Anthony Ngullie also shared his experience as a student and encouraged the scouts and guides to be a good citizen and patriotic. He termed tolerance, self-discipline and being responsible as some of the qualities of a scout and guide.
The inaugural programme was chaired by SOC (G) Vimezhonu Tetso and vote of thanks was delivered by STC(S), R. Albert Solo, who is also the leader of the course and secretary (judicial) department of justice and law and state commissioner (G). Presentation of warrants and reaffirmation and induction of new state council member was also done during the programme.
The course is being organised for BSG district officials, officers from youth resource and sports and education department Nagaland and new State council members.w
