A state-level workshop for technology innovations, “Technovation Nagaland 2023” by Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) SELCO Foundation and SDGCC, Planning and Transformation department was held at Hotel Vivor Kohima, Tuesday.
According to a DIPR report, in his address, assistant manager, Nagaland Tool Room and Training Center (NTTC), Er Awalo Keppen gave a brief highlight on the working and functions of NTTC.
He said the center, a society of government under the department of Industries and Commerce established in 2006, was also selected as one of the startup incubators under Startup Nagaland and that it has been helping businesses to build up their visions.
Senior Scientific Officer, Science & Technology, Er. Kevitso Kenneth, while thanking AIC, SELCO, SDGCC, Planning & Transformation for organising the workshop, expressed the hope that it would give an insight into scouting, supporting, and spawning local innovators.
In a keynote address, IES, OSD (Planning) & SDG Nodal Officer, Nayantara Sasikumar lauded AIC central foundation for inspiring the people. She also appreciated all the innovators, representatives, and local organizations.
She expressed delight for the sustainable innovations being initiated such as the SDG innovations, participatory action, and research initiatives, though it was a small initiative started last year.
Sasikumar maintained that through this initiative foundation and SDGCC with the support of the relevant government departments and local organisations, innovators would come up with their proposals and become successful entrepreneurs.
The event included expert sessions on building an ecosystem for technology innovators and startups which was conducted by Youth Net.; discussion sessions and innovator diagnostics.
