Lotha Baptist Church Kukidolong (LBCK), Chumoukedima bade farewell to senior pastor, Rev. K.N. Shitiri on Sunday, after ten years of service to the church, from March 17, 2013 to March 19, 2023.
At the same service, the church also installed the new pastor, Yanpvuo Lotha. An act of prayer of blessing for the outgoing and incoming pastors was conducted by Lotha Baptist Churches Association, executive secretary, Rev. Dr. Ezamo Murry.
In his farewell speech, Rev. K. N. Shitiri, who have served the ministry of the Almighty God for more than 40 years under Lotha Baptist Churches Association, thanked the members of LBCK for their constant support and prayer through which he could carry out the Lord’s ministry entrusted upon him. He thanked the Almighty for bestowing good health and to his family during his active service in the ministry of the Almighty God.
As a mark of gratitude, the family members of Rev. Shitiri presented a special song thanking God and the members of the church.
The speaker of the programme was pastor Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, Rev. Zanao Lotha.
Rev. Zanao recalled the contributions of Rev. K.N. Shitiri and his family towards the church.
He said the foundation of the church was laid by the God and therefore it was for the members of the church to use good materials so that it could withstand all kinds of temptations.
He recalled how a handful of believers kept their faith in time of adversity and continued to work for the God’s ministry.
“Those who have received blessing under the Rev. Shitiri should be thankful to God”, Rev. Zanao said. He also appealed to the members of the church to continue to extend support and prayer to their new pastor. The programme concluded with benediction by Rev. R.P. Murry and the service was led by Rev. A.K. Jami.
