Training on HIV &AIDS (P&C) Act in Tuensang

A training on Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) Prevention and Control (P&C) Act, 2017 was organised by District AIDS Prevention and Control Unit (DAPCU) Tuensang under the Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) in collaboration with Tuensang District Legal Services Authority (TDLSA) on March 22 at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tuensang.
According to a DIPR report, during the training, district programme officer, DACPU Tuensang, Chongshen gave a statistical PowerPoint presentation on the status of the Tuensang district.
TDLSA penal lawyer, Birila Brianna highlighted the HIV and AIDS Act 2017, which stated that no person can be discriminated against on the ground of occupation, health, education, and property right, prohibition of certain acts like hate speech and violence, disclosure of HIV positive to partner, defining the scope of ombudsman, protection in legal proceedings and penalties on violation of right.
