Three mixed martial artists representing The Combat Academy Nagaland, participated at the 11th edition of the recently concluded Matrix Fight Night event held at The Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on 31st March. Matrix Fight Night is the leading and biggest MMA promotion in the country right now.
A press release by the manager of The Combat Academy Nagaland, Victor Angami stated that the three fighters, Limasunep Imchen, Mairidin Newmai, and Longtsukumba Ao, all made their professional debut in the Flyweight, Bantamweight and Featherweight category respectively. Limasunep lost to Nongmaithem Bonjovi via a guillotine choke, while Mairidin Newmai won by unanimous decision after three rounds against Mandeep Prajapati. Longtsukumba Ao lost his bout via RNC (rear naked choke) submission.
Previously, Imkong Jamir, Arsenba Ozukum and Avizo Lanamai, all representing The Combat Academy, have also participated in the 9th and 10th editions of Matrix Fight Night.
The event was also telecasted ‘Live’ on Disney Hotstar Plus.
