Following Nagaland Post report on “Unauthorised Sunday Market in Dimapur”, Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has prohibited vendors, shopkeepers from vending on Sundays in front of NST Central Workshop by the road side.
In a press release, DMC administrator, W Manpai Phom said many vendors/shopkeepers were found setting up market in contravention to rules under Section 389 (I) of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2001.
DMC administrator has warned that anyone found violating the order shall be penalised with fine followed by seizure of goods.
