A two-year old child, who reportedly went missing on April 8, was rescued by Government Railway Police Force (GRPF) on Monday and later handed over to Childline Dimapur.
Speaking to Nagaland Post, Childline Coordinator and Child Welfare Committee member, Loza Kapfo, said that the Government Railway Police Force found the child unattended in the Railway premises and rescued her and handed to the Childline Dimapur for identification.
Kapfo said the missing report of the child was lodged at Chümoukedima Police Station, but was later transferred to Women Police station.
The case was under investigation and more information on how the child went missing would be ascertained only after the intervention of the parents, Kapfo said.
