Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed Heads of Registered Institutions of the Board that Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be organising a special programme for school children “Young Scientist Programme” “Yuva Vigyani Karyakram “(YUVIKA- 2023).
A report issued by DIPR stated that programme was aimed at creating awareness about the emerging trends in Science and Technology amongst the youngsters; to impart basic knowledge on Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications, with a preference to rural areas; and to encourage more students to pursue in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based research/career.
The residential programme will be of two weeks’ duration during summer holidays (May 15-26, 2023).
Therefore, Nagaland Board of School Education has informed all heads of registered institutions have been requested to give wide publicity and inform the teachers and students about YUVIKA-2023.
