Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train to arrive Dimapur on May 27

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) and Northeastern Frontier Railways (NFR) on Tuesday announced the launch of the first Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train (BGTT), at a press conference held at Dimapur Railway Station, Executive Lounge.
The train is scheduled to depart from Dibrugarh at 8 a.m. on May 27 and reach Dimapur at 4:45 p.m.
Addressing media, NFR chief supervisor of Tourism, Sawma Khobung, informed that the BGTT would start its journey on May 27, from Dibrugarh on 11 days and 10 nights religious tourist circuit, covering popular religious sites in Ayodhya, Shree Mata Vaishnodevi, Prayagraj, and Varanasi.
He maintained that the tourist train was taken up by the department of Tourism, NFR, under the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat initiative and the first of its kind journey exclusively designed for tourists, with no other passengers allowed on board.
In a press note handed out by the officials, it stated that passengers could board and de-board from Dibrugarh, Simaluguri, Mariani, Dimapur, Lumding, Guwahati, Rangiya, New Bongaigaon, New Coochbehar, New Jalpaiguri, Katihar, Barauni Jn., Hajipur and Sonpur.
It also added that the tourist train comprise of 14 coaches, with eight LHB sleeper coaches (580 seats) and three AC III Tier coaches (200 seats), along with a pantry car.
In regards to booking for tickets, it was informed that ticket would be available both online and offline, Rs. 20,850 per person for Sleeper Class and Rs. 31,135 for AC passengers, inclusive of GST.
The officials pointed out that Indian Railways will be providing 33% concession under the Bharat Gaurav Train scheme, which was already included in the above pricing. Passengers can opt for RMI services and online bookings will be made through the official IRCTC website.
It may be noted that the train would be making stops at various stations, offer onboard meals and packaged drinking water, and ensure cleanliness and security.
A dedicated escorts would be available for every coach to assist passengers, and off board sightseeing tours would be facilitated by dedicated coaches and buses.
In regards to accommodations, it said that non- AC family hotel rooms will be provided for Sleeper Class at places of night stay, and AC accommodation would be arranged in standard category hotels for AC passengers.
