Along with the rest of the state, Kiphire district celebrated the 75th years platinum jubilee of the Gauhati High Court, Kohima Bench where the closing ceremony was on April 14 at the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, Kiphire.
According to a DIPR report, during the programme, NJS, CJM Kiphire, Phuleto Yeptho, highlighted some of the landmark judgments given by the Supreme Court. Laws such as the Juvenile and POSCO Act were also placed to keep the children from committing crimes and to help them if they are victims of one. He urged the parents to approach them without any hesitation if they find out that their children are sexually abused and assaulted irrespective of gender, adding that they are always there to tackle the problems of every child by giving the right judgment to the victim.
APP, Michael Aye, in his message stated that the reason behind the celebration of the Platinum Jubilee is the hard work of those persons who have sacrificed for the betterment of society. He reminded that Kiphire district is still a young district wherein they still have to go a long way. In this regard, he urged all employees posted in Kiphire to practically be sincere and diligent in their work and duties.
The programme was chaired by Tsasela Sangtam, a special presentation by Leochum and a traditional folk dance by Eastern Sumi Totimi Hoho.
