Congress ‘Jai Bharat Satyagraha’ concludes

The ongoing state-wide “Jai Bharat Satyagraha” programme under the aegis of the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee culminated at Congress Bhavan, Kohima on April 28.
A press release by chairman Communication department of NPCCm, Wezote Kreo said that “Jai Bharat Satyagraha” was organised to protest against the “anti-democracy” policies of the Modi government, the disqualification of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and to demand a probe either by a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC), headed by the Supreme Court or monitored by the Chief Justice of India, into the allegations of fraud and stock manipulation against the Adani Group.
Addressing the Jai Bharat Satyagraha programme, former NPCC President, K.Therie said, that freedom of expression has been curtailed. The entire government machinery was working to save Adani. He said democracy has collapsed and the “fascism, authoritative acts” of the BJP government should be condemned by all.
Therie said satyagraha was needed to save democracy because the government sitting at the center was bent on weakening democracy.
