In a delayed report, a massive fire completely destroyed around 45 houses including six granaries at K Shan Longchan village, under Naga Self Administered Zone (NSAZ) of Myanmar on April 11.
Speaking to Nagaland Post over phone, president Eastern Naga Students Association, Atimiu said that village, along Arunachal Pradesh border, consists of around 87 households, out of which 37 houses and six granaries were completely razed down by the inferno.
He said that they were unable communicate with the villagers due to poor network connectivity.
The fire reportedly broke out at a time when most of the villagers were out in the fields.
He also said that since most of the houses were close to each other, the villagers had to destroy eight houses to stop the fire from spreading further.
It may be recalled that a massive fire in February this year completely destroyed 60 houses at Solo/Chiu village, under Lahe township, Naga Self Administered Zone.
